    • improving and innovating within current service delivery models

    • assuring financial and practical sustainability for services

Priorities and Activities

ASSOCIATION PRIORITIES AND ACTIVITIES

Sustain

  • Secured ongoing funding for Minnesota’s children’s residential treatment providers

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to launch the redesign of community-based mental health rates

  • Assuring provider sustainability during the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) transition, including financial support for background studies and negotiation around legislative language for implementation

Develop

  • Engaging with DHS and the legislature to develop the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) level of care in MN

  • Convened partners and successfully advocated for a new shelter-linked mental health model in the state

  • Articulating and sharing the provider's perspective on the opportunity for transformation afforded to MN through the FFPSA

  • AspireMN will demonstrate our commitment to Anti-Racism by fully acknowledging that the foundation of our field is built on ideals, practices and values of a dominant culture and will integrate our commitment to antiracism in our internal and external actions

  • Prioritize the urgent need to redesign community-based mental health rates

  • Provide leadership for implementation of FFPSA that assures positive transformation and honors all contributors, including providers

  • Develop solutions for gaps in the children’s service continuum, including:

    • work to serve Minnesota youth in Minnesota with a new design to prevent out of state mental health placement

    • develop an intensive in-home model similar to Intensive Treatment in Foster
