What do you get by becoming a member of AspireMN?

  • Listing on the AspireMN web site and in our on-line searchable directory used by parents, county workers and other potential referring agents across the state.  Free job postings. Access to the Members Only section which includes list-serves on topics of interest.

  • Participation in the Student Data Reporting System – statewide outcome data on youth in out of home placement. Data is collected at intake, discharge, and six months post discharge and includes satisfaction surveys for use with youth, parents and referring workers as required by the licensing rules for residential programs. Annual SDRS report is published with aggregate data which can be used as benchmarking. Each participating agency receives an agency specific report annually.  Free access to the PSQ – Problem Solving Questionnaire - an invaluable tool for predicting outcomes for individual youth.

  • Representation/participation on Statewide Committees – recent and current committees include: Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Services Workgroup; Education in Care and Treatment Settings Task Force; Children’s Mental Health Partnership; Child Wellbeing Network; Youth Moving Forward; Mental Health Advocacy Forum; Medica Community Advisory Network; MNSCU Mental Health Workforce Development Steering Committee; Behavioral Health Home Workgroup; the Commissioner’s Workgroup on Foster Care; and the Juvenile Justice Coalition Steering Committee.

  • Education, Training and Networking at regular program meetings held around the state.  Participation in the Unemployment Services Trust.

  • Participation in our Procentive User’s Group with opportunities for collaboration on electronic health record system design and upgrades.

  • Member discounts for all staff at annual AspireMN trainings for supervisors, clinicians, counselors and foster parents and 25% discount on COA accreditation and reaccreditation fees.

  • Peer review experience of collegial support in review of programs to enhance attention to quality in service delivery, opportunity to receive training and participate in peer review of other organizations.

  • Statewide salary surveys on executive and staff compensation.

  • Lobbying, legislative monitoring, information and training regarding the legislative process. Regular updates on legislation during the legislative session. Representation on the Mental Health Legislative Network – a coalition of over 22 organizations.

  • Opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors and provide leadership to the Council and children’s services in Minnesota. Opportunity to participate on AspireMN Committees and Task Forces with colleagues.  Current committees: CTSS; Foster Care; Group Homes; Residential Treatment; Conference; Research & Evaluation.
